Motor Function: Video
About#
Motor function will be assessed in-person at each visit through standardized video recording of gait and upper extremity function, following the protocol described in [PMID: 40070543]. Total assessment time is approximately 15 minutes.
Gait Assessment: Participants will be asked to walk back and forth six times along a clear 10–12 foot straight path at their natural walking speed. Both frontal and sagittal video feeds will be recorded simultaneously for each pass.
Upper Extremity Assessment: Participants will be asked to complete a series of tasks at their ability level, selected from the following: reaching, grasping, buttoning a shirt, simulated eating, hand opening and closing, and finger tapping. Tasks will be adapted to the participant's developmental level and physical ability, and any tasks not attempted or modified will be documented.
Video Quality Review: All motor videos will be uploaded to the DCC (Lasso) by sites immediately following collection and reviewed by the CCC within 24 hours to verify video visibility and trial quality. Sites will be notified promptly of any quality issues.
