Derivation Logic - Handling of Unknown Responses
For gender identity and race/ethnicity variables, a conservative approach was applied when assigning “Unknown” categories. If a respondent selected “Don’t Know” or “Decline to Answer” in combination with an additional response option, the final value was categorized as Unknown.
